2016
Where It All Began
Pest control has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up in Geelong, Victoria, my father owned and operated a successful pest control business, and I spent countless weekends and school holidays tagging along, helping out and learning the ropes. At just 16, I began my training and started working full-time alongside Dad. What began as helping out in the family business quickly turned into a genuine passion for the trade. From learning how to identify pests to understanding the importance of good customer service, those early years laid the foundation for everything I do today.
2018
Learning the Trade
With a few years of hands-on experience behind me, I began specialising in general pest control and vertebrate pest management. Working across residential and commercial properties, I gained valuable experience dealing with everything from everyday household pests to more challenging infestations. More importantly, those years taught me the value of experience, attention to detail and doing things properly. I learned how to identify the source of pest problems, choose the right treatment methods and deliver reliable results, while always making customer service a priority.
2021
A New Chapter
After years of building a successful family business, Dad decided it was time to hang up the sprayer and enjoy a well-earned retirement. With the business sold, I decided to try something different and started my own landscaping and garden maintenance business. Running my own business taught me plenty about customer service, reliability and the hard work that goes into building something you're proud of. It also gave me a greater appreciation for how gardens, landscaping and property maintenance can influence pest activity around the home. Although I'd stepped away from pest control, the knowledge and experience I'd gained never left me.
2025
A Move North & the Birth of Rippa
When my fiancée landed her dream job in Queensland, we decided it was time for a new adventure. We packed up our lives in Victoria, headed north and eventually found ourselves calling the beautiful Bundaberg region home. After settling into life in Queensland, I saw an opportunity to return to the industry I'd grown up in, but this time with a business of my own. And that's how Rippa Pest Control came to life. Built on years of hands-on experience, a family background in pest management and a genuine passion for helping people, Rippa brings a fresh, friendly approach to pest control in Bundaberg and surrounding areas. Our focus is simple: professional pest control, effective treatments and genuine customer service. We take pride in our work, pay attention to the little details and believe every job deserves to be done properly. We're only at the beginning of the Rippa story, but we're excited to build something the local community can rely on for years to come.
