Terms and Conditions
Rippa Pest Control
Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 28 October 2026
These Terms & Conditions govern services provided by Rippa Pest Control, including one-off residential pest treatments, commercial pest management and annual pest protection plans.
Please read these terms together with any accepted quotation, booking confirmation, service schedule, annual plan agreement and applicable warranty conditions.
By accepting a quotation, confirming a booking or expressly authorising a service to proceed after being given access to these terms, you agree to the conditions applicable to your service.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights and remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
Part A โ General Service Conditions
1. Definitions & Agreement
For the purposes of these terms:
Rippa Pest Control, we, us and our refer to the business identified in Section 31.
Customer, you and your refer to the person or organisation engaging our services.
Service Address means the property specified in the accepted booking or service agreement.
Services means the pest management work agreed upon between the customer and Rippa Pest Control.
Service Schedule means the booking, quotation, treatment description or annual plan schedule setting out the included services, covered pests, treatment areas and applicable price.
Equipment means pest management equipment supplied or installed by Rippa Pest Control, including bait stations, traps and monitoring devices.
Annual Plan means a 12-month pest protection package purchased under Part B of these terms.
These Terms & Conditions, together with the accepted Service Schedule and any expressly agreed service-specific conditions, form the service agreement.
Where a service-specific agreement conflicts with these general terms, the more specific provision applies to that service, subject to applicable law.
Any changes to an agreed price or scope must be authorised by the customer before the additional work is performed.
2. Our Services
Rippa Pest Control provides professional residential and commercial pest management services throughout Bundaberg and surrounding areas.
Our services may include:
General household pest treatments.
Specialised ant, spider and cockroach treatments.
Rodent control and monitoring.
Mosquito, wasp and feral bee control.
End of lease flea and tick treatments.
Commercial pest management and maintenance.
Annual pest protection plans.
Services are limited to those specified in the accepted booking or Service Schedule.
Unless expressly included in a separate agreement, we do not provide termite inspections, termite treatments or structural building inspections.
Services are performed by appropriately licensed technicians in accordance with applicable legislation, product label directions and relevant safety requirements.
3. Inspection, Assessment & Treatment Scope
Residential customers may book eligible treatments through our online booking system or over the phone without a separate pre-booking inspection.
Commercial properties, complex infestations and specialised services may require an inspection or assessment before a quotation can be provided.
An inspection associated with a pest treatment is intended to identify relevant pest activity and treatment requirements. It does not constitute a structural inspection or a guarantee that all concealed infestations will be discovered.
Unless otherwise agreed, our services are limited to the pest species and treatment areas identified in the Service Schedule.
We will only inspect or treat areas that are safe, appropriate and reasonably accessible.
Restricted roof cavities, unsafe subfloors, inaccessible areas, concealed spaces and other unsuitable locations may be excluded.
Any significant limitations identified during treatment will be explained and, where appropriate, recorded in the service documentation.
4. Pricing & Quotations
Advertised prices are starting prices unless otherwise specified.
Final pricing may depend on:
Property size and layout.
Pest species and infestation severity.
Treatment areas and accessibility.
Additional structures or separate buildings.
Specialised treatment requirements.
Travel requirements outside standard service areas.
Online booking prices are calculated using information supplied by the customer.
Customers must provide accurate property details and disclose additional structures or circumstances that may affect the service.
If the information supplied is materially inaccurate or additional work is required, we will discuss the changes and obtain approval for any additional charges before proceeding.
Written quotations remain valid for [insert quotation validity period], unless otherwise stated.
All consumer-facing prices are expressed in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable, unless clearly identified otherwise.
5. Bookings & Appointment Confirmation
Bookings may be requested online, over the phone or through other approved communication channels.
An appointment is confirmed when Rippa Pest Control accepts the booking and provides confirmation.
Appointments are subject to technician availability, weather, safe site access and other operational considerations.
We will make reasonable efforts to attend within the agreed appointment window and notify customers of significant delays where practicable.
A customer or authorised representative must arrange access to the property when required.
6. Deposits, Cancellations & Rescheduling
A deposit may be required to secure an appointment.
The deposit amount, payment due date and applicable cancellation conditions will be disclosed before booking confirmation.
Customers are asked to provide at least 24 hours' notice when requesting cancellation or rescheduling.
Where a customer cancels at short notice or fails to provide agreed access, Rippa Pest Control may charge a reasonable, previously disclosed fee reflecting applicable costs or loss, where legally permitted.
Cancellation charges will not automatically apply where the customer has a statutory right to cancel or where the cancellation results from our failure to meet legal obligations.
Any applicable refund or deposit retention will be assessed under the agreed booking conditions and Australian Consumer Law.
We may reschedule services because of unsafe weather, inadequate preparation, restricted access, unsafe working conditions or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
If we cannot provide an agreed service, we will discuss an alternative date, an appropriate adjustment or any refund required by law.
7. Property Access & Customer Preparation
Customers must arrange safe and reasonable access to the areas requiring treatment.
Depending on the service, preparation may include clearing relevant areas, moving personal belongings, securing animals, following cleaning instructions or arranging temporary exclusion of occupants.
Specific preparation and re-entry requirements depend on the products and treatment methods used.
Where preparation has not been completed or suitable access is unavailable, treatment may be limited, postponed or rescheduled.
We will explain material treatment limitations and any proposed additional charges before proceeding.
8. Site Safety & Disclosure of Hazards
Customers must inform Rippa Pest Control of known hazards or relevant conditions that may affect the safe performance of services.
These may include:
Suspected asbestos or other hazardous materials.
Exposed electrical wiring or unsafe installations.
Unsafe roof cavities, floors, ladders or access points.
Aggressive or unsecured animals.
Damaged structures or unstable surfaces.
Sensitive equipment, stored goods or areas requiring special precautions.
Known access restrictions or other material site hazards.
Customers must not knowingly provide unsafe access or conceal significant risks.
Rippa Pest Control may decline or suspend work where conditions present an unacceptable safety risk.
These responsibilities do not remove our own workplace health and safety obligations or responsibility to exercise due care and skill.
9. Treatment Procedures & Effectiveness
Rippa Pest Control uses professional pest management methods selected according to pest species, infestation conditions and the relevant property.
Treatment outcomes depend on multiple factors, including pest behaviour, environmental conditions, access, sanitation, maintenance and other circumstances.
Some pests may require additional visits or ongoing management.
Customers may observe pest activity after treatment while products take effect or while the infestation is being brought under control.
Treatments do not guarantee that a property will remain permanently free of pests.
Treatment effectiveness may be reduced by:
Disturbance or removal of treated surfaces.
Heavy cleaning or pressure washing of treated areas.
Weather exposure and environmental conditions.
Building alterations or renovations.
Introduction of infested goods or materials.
Continuing food, water or harbourage sources.
Pest activity originating from neighbouring or untreated areas.
Where appropriate, we will provide recommendations to help minimise future pest activity.
These limitations do not exclude our obligations under Australian Consumer Law or any applicable express warranty.
10. Company-Owned Equipment
Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, Equipment supplied or installed by Rippa Pest Control remains our property.
This may include rodent bait stations, traps, monitoring devices and other pest management equipment.
Customers agree to take reasonable care of Equipment installed at their property and notify us promptly if it is lost, damaged, disturbed or presents a safety concern.
Customers must not intentionally relocate, open, modify, dispose of or interfere with Equipment without authorisation, except where necessary to address an immediate safety concern.
Equipment may require inspection, servicing, replenishment or removal in accordance with the agreed treatment program, product requirements and applicable law.
Customers agree to arrange reasonable access for scheduled servicing and collection.
Where Equipment is lost or damaged due to a customer's intentional act or failure to exercise reasonable care, a reasonable and previously disclosed replacement charge may apply, subject to applicable law.
Normal wear and tear and matters outside the customer's responsibility are excluded.
Where an agreement ends, we will make reasonable arrangements to collect company-owned Equipment.
We will not enter private premises without lawful authority or appropriate permission.
11. Treatment Documentation & Advice
Rippa Pest Control will provide pre-treatment and post-treatment pest control advice in accordance with applicable Queensland requirements.
These notices may include relevant safety precautions, product details, technician licence information, treatment locations and other required information.
Customers must follow relevant safety and re-entry instructions and make necessary information available to other affected occupants where appropriate.
Treatment documentation may also include service reports, recommendations and warranty details.
End of lease treatment reports confirm the services performed but do not guarantee acceptance by a property manager or return of a rental bond.
12. Six-Month Service Warranty
Eligible one-off pest treatments include a six-month service warranty commencing on the initial treatment date.
Coverage is limited to the pest species, treatment areas and services specifically identified as covered in the applicable Service Schedule and warranty conditions.
Where covered pest activity continues or returns during the warranty period, customers may request a warranty assessment.
If the claim meets the applicable warranty conditions, Rippa Pest Control will arrange an appropriate follow-up treatment at no additional charge.
Service-specific conditions may apply to specialised ant control, German cockroach treatments, rodent management, mosquito treatments, end of lease services and other services.
Customers will be informed of the applicable warranty coverage before the relevant treatment is performed.
No warranty exclusion limits a customer's statutory rights.
Full claim instructions, applicable expenses, warranty exclusions, required business details and mandatory consumer-guarantee information are provided in our separate Service Warranty Policy, which forms part of the warranty documentation supplied with the relevant service.
13. Standard Payment Terms
Unless otherwise agreed, payment for one-off treatments is due upon completion of the service.
Any deposit paid will be credited towards the final amount.
Payment methods and any applicable processing charges will be disclosed before payment is authorised.
Commercial customers may be subject to separate invoicing terms specified in an accepted quotation or service agreement.
Invoices must be paid by the stated due date, subject to the customer's rights to dispute an invoice and applicable law.
14. Overdue Payments
If an account becomes overdue, we may contact the customer to arrange payment.
Customers should promptly notify us of genuinely disputed charges.
Where amounts remain unpaid, Rippa Pest Control may take lawful steps to recover outstanding debts, including using an authorised collection provider where appropriate.
Any recoverable interest, fees or costs must be lawfully payable and must not be unfair, excessive or inconsistent with the agreement.
Undisputed payment obligations remain payable according to the agreed terms.
Part B โ Annual Pest Protection Plans
15. Annual Plan Overview
Rippa Pest Control offers annual pest protection plans providing specified pest management services over a 12-month period.
Plans may include scheduled treatments, seasonal treatments, monitoring and additional pest coverage depending on the selected tier.
Customers purchase the annual package at the agreed total price and may elect to spread that cost over 12 monthly instalments.
The plan provides ongoing coverage for the specified pests and areas during the agreement period, subject to its agreed inclusions.
16. Annual Agreement & Payment Schedule
Each Annual Plan has a fixed 12-month agreement period commencing on the date stated in the accepted plan schedule.
Before enrolment, customers will receive:
The selected plan name and tier.
The total annual package price.
The monthly instalment amount and number of payments.
The first payment date and billing frequency.
The covered pest species.
Scheduled and seasonal treatment inclusions.
Complimentary retreatment conditions.
The early cancellation calculation and applicable individual service values.
Monthly instalments are a payment arrangement for the annual package and do not mean that the customer purchases services one month at a time.
Any difference between the upfront package price and instalment package price must be clearly disclosed before acceptance.
The availability and final structure of instalment arrangements are subject to applicable consumer-credit and payment laws.
17. Plan Tiers & Coverage
Each Annual Plan covers the pest species and services expressly identified in the selected plan schedule.
Depending on the tier, coverage may include general household pests, specified specialised pests, rodent management, mosquito control and other services.
Each plan schedule will specify:
Included pests and relevant exclusions.
Included buildings and treatment areas.
Number and frequency of scheduled treatments.
Seasonal treatment commitments.
Monitoring or equipment arrangements where relevant.
Complimentary retreatment entitlements.
Annual package price and instalment schedule.
Services or structures outside the agreed plan are not automatically included.
Additional work will be quoted separately and will require customer approval.
18. Scheduled & Seasonal Services
Scheduled treatments will be carried out at the intervals described in the selected plan schedule.
Seasonal services will be arranged during appropriate times of the year.
For example, where included in the selected plan, mosquito control may involve two scheduled treatments during warmer months.
Treatment dates may be adjusted where necessary because of weather, safety, product restrictions, site conditions or reasonable operational requirements.
Any material reduction in agreed services will require an appropriate adjustment, customer agreement or another remedy required by law.
19. Complimentary Retreatments & Touch-Ups
While an Annual Plan remains active, customers may request complimentary retreatments for recurring activity involving pest species covered by their plan.
Retreatments are limited to the agreed property, covered pests and included treatment areas.
A technician may assess the reported activity to determine an appropriate response.
The timing and method of retreatment will be determined by the pest species, site conditions, relevant product directions and applicable safety requirements.
Complimentary retreatments do not automatically cover additional buildings, unrelated pests or services outside the agreed plan.
Where ongoing activity requires a different treatment method, we will explain the available options and whether additional charges would apply before proceeding.
These coverage conditions do not limit statutory consumer guarantees.
20. Monthly Billing & Payment Authorisation
Customers electing monthly instalments authorise the agreed amount to be charged on the scheduled billing date through the nominated payment method.
The authorised amount, payment frequency and applicable payment provider terms will be disclosed before enrolment.
Customers must maintain valid payment details and sufficient available funds.
If a payment fails, we will notify the customer and provide a reasonable opportunity to correct the issue.
Missed instalments remain payable where legally due.
After reasonable notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue, we may suspend future non-essential plan benefits or services where lawful, taking into account services already paid for and applicable consumer rights.
Payment arrangements and authorisations will be handled in accordance with applicable law.
21. Early Cancellation & Final Account Reconciliation
Customers may request cancellation of their Annual Plan before the end of the 12-month agreement.
Where a customer voluntarily cancels early and no statutory cancellation right or other relevant legal exception applies, we may calculate an adjustment for services already supplied.
The calculation will be based on the agreed early cancellation methodology and the individual treatment values disclosed before enrolment.
The proposed calculation is:
Value of completed, chargeable services under the agreed cancellation schedule, less instalments and other applicable payments received, with any required adjustments or refunds.
The calculation must not operate as an unlawful penalty or unfair contract term.
A complimentary retreatment provided as part of an existing coverage entitlement will not automatically be treated as a separate chargeable service.
Any amount claimed will be limited to sums that are reasonable, legally recoverable and consistent with the customer's statutory rights.
The customer will receive an itemised final account stating:
The services completed.
The agreed values used in the calculation.
Payments already received.
Relevant adjustments or credits.
Any outstanding balance or refund.
We will not automatically demand payment for the entire unused remainder of the annual plan merely because the customer cancels.
Where the customer is entitled to cancel because of a failure by Rippa Pest Control to meet legal obligations, statutory cancellation and refund rights take precedence.
The final calculation method and its disclosed price schedule must be confirmed in the customer's signed or electronically accepted Annual Plan Agreement before enrolment.
22. Changes to Plan Coverage
Customers may request an upgrade or other changes to their Annual Plan.
Any change to pricing, treatment coverage, scheduled services or payment arrangements must be agreed before taking effect.
Changes will be confirmed in writing.
Rippa Pest Control will not unilaterally increase the agreed annual package price during a fixed term.
23. Property Sale, Relocation & Changes in Occupancy
Annual Plans apply to the specified Service Address.
Customers must notify us if they sell, vacate or permanently leave the property.
A transfer to another property may be considered but is not guaranteed.
Any transfer requires agreement on the new location, property details, treatment requirements and relevant pricing adjustments.
Where the plan cannot be transferred and the customer requests cancellation, the applicable cancellation provisions will be assessed subject to Australian Consumer Law.
24. Annual Plan Expiry & Renewal
Annual Plans end at the conclusion of their agreed 12-month term unless renewed.
We may contact customers before expiry to offer a further annual plan.
The customer must agree to the renewal price, coverage and applicable conditions before entering another fixed-term agreement.
There is no automatic renewal into a new 12-month fixed term without customer agreement.
Part C โ General Legal Conditions
25. Customer Responsibilities
Customers agree to provide accurate information, arrange safe access, follow preparation and aftercare instructions, make required payments and notify Rippa Pest Control of concerns affecting the agreed services.
Customers must not intentionally interfere with treatment products or company-owned equipment.
We may explain how sanitation, maintenance, building repairs and other measures can support treatment effectiveness.
Customers remain responsible for ordinary property upkeep, except where a separate maintenance service has been expressly agreed.
26. Complaints & Dispute Resolution
Customers should contact Rippa Pest Control promptly if they have concerns about a treatment, invoice, warranty or service agreement.
We will acknowledge complaints within [insert response period] and make reasonable efforts to investigate and resolve the matter promptly.
Either party may provide written notice of a contractual dispute.
Both parties agree to make reasonable efforts to resolve the dispute through good-faith communication before considering further action, where practicable.
This process does not prevent either party from seeking urgent relief or exercising statutory rights, including contacting regulators, making a tribunal application or commencing legal proceedings where permitted.
27. Liability & Australian Consumer Guarantees
Rippa Pest Control will perform services with due care and skill and within the agreed scope.
We are not automatically responsible for damage or defects that existed before treatment or for unrelated conditions outside the agreed services.
Responsibility for any alleged loss or damage will depend on the circumstances, including the cause of the loss and applicable legal obligations.
Customers should notify us promptly of suspected treatment-related damage so the matter can be investigated.
To the extent permitted by law, neither party will be responsible for losses that are too remote or not legally recoverable.
No provision of this agreement excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
In particular, nothing in these terms restricts the customer's rights to remedies under Australian Consumer Law, including remedies for a failure to provide services with due care and skill.
28. Circumstances Beyond Our Control
Events outside our reasonable control may affect the timing or availability of services.
These may include severe weather, flooding, natural disasters, government restrictions, significant supply disruptions or other unforeseen events.
Where an event prevents or materially delays service delivery, we will notify affected customers where reasonably practicable.
We will make reasonable efforts to reschedule or arrange an appropriate alternative.
Where services cannot be supplied, any refund, price adjustment or other remedy will be determined in accordance with the agreement and applicable law.
29. Privacy & Information Handling
Personal information provided through our website, booking system, payment providers and service communications will be managed in accordance with applicable privacy laws and our Privacy Policy.
Information may be collected and used for bookings, invoicing, treatment documentation, customer communication and administration of agreed services.
Where third-party providers are used, their relevant service terms and privacy practices may also apply.
Customers can contact us to raise concerns about the handling of their personal information.
30. Website Use, Changes & General Provisions
Information on our website is general in nature and does not replace individual pest management advice or site-specific assessments.
Pricing and service descriptions may be updated from time to time.
Original website content, branding, images and other protected materials may not be reproduced commercially without permission, except as permitted by law.
Changes to these general terms will be published on our website. Any proposed change to an existing fixed-term agreement must comply with the agreement and applicable law.
If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
Any contractual amendment must be agreed by the parties where agreement is required.
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and applicable Commonwealth legislation.
